The typical American family making $50,000 a year will have about $40 less to spend or save with each paycheck if Congress fails to extend the payroll tax cut. The White House asked Americans to tellus what losing that $40 would mean to them. More than 30,000people across the country submitted responses on WhiteHouse.gov.
