I created this map after traveling through Bolivia and realizing how shockingly few roads were paved. Land-locked Bolivia is South America’s poorest country. I wonder what effect the state of its roads–its primary method of transporting goods and people–has on Bolivia’s economy. What benefits would we see if more of Bolivia’s roads were paved?
