Although fighting in the NHL has bumped up against its share of criticism, it is a considerable draw for some spectators. Fans expect it and the players deliver. While the NHL doesn’t really have its own version of boxing’s “tale of the tape”, we do know that the unwritten rules of fighting dictate that players only fight players of a similar size. Enforcers typically only fight each other, etc etc.
