Emerging Technologies is a course that exposes students to new and exciting digital ways to collaborate and share knowledge on the Internet. Students will learn how to use cell phones as instructional and learning tools. Blogs, Wikis, Google Docs, social networking, RSS content, social bookmarking and webcasts will be included in the course content. Digital storytelling in the form of online presentations, podcasts, tutorials, and Google Earth tour destinations will also be presented. Students will also create augmented reality experiences for mobile learning. Responsible, safe, and ethical Internet use and netiquette will be emphasized, including how to be good digital citizens.
