There are some things people take for granted. One of these is that after a lifetime of paying into Social Security, you’ll receive the promised benefits when its your turn to collect. But before long, this long accepted fact could become fiction. As the number of people receiving benefits balloons and the number of people paying into the program shrinks, the numbers just aren’t adding up – Social Security is projected to go broke by 2036.
